CVE-2025-0065: TeamViewer Patches Privilege Escalation Vulnerability in Windows Clients - #CVE-2025-0065
TeamViewer has recently addressed a critical security vulnerability in its Windows client software, identified as CVE-2025-0065. This high-severity privilege escalation flaw, with a CVSS score of 7.8, affects versions prior to 15.62 and stems from improper neutralization of argument delimiters in the TeamViewer\_service.exe component. While no active exploitation has been reported, the vulnerability could allow attackers with local system access to gain elevated privileges. The security update was prompted by the discovery made by an anonymous researcher through the Trend Micro Zero Day Initiative.
