Mirai Botnet Attacking Apache OFBiz Directory Traversal Vulnerability - #Mirai
A new variant of the infamous Mirai botnet, called Mirai.TBOT, has emerged with enhanced capabilities like exploiting zero-days and targeting over 30,000 hosts globally. Another worm dubbed NoaBot, based on Mirai, has infected Linux devices for cryptocurrency mining. Mirai is also targeting vulnerable routers, IoT devices, enterprise software like Apache OFBiz's ERP framework by exploiting unpatched vulnerabilities. These attacks underscore the importance of prompt patching, strong credentials, and limiting exposed attack surfaces to mitigate evolving IoT and Linux malware threats.
